Founder Dragana Dujovic has been surrounded by the best of European and American fashion since childhood. She began modelling at the age of 13 and competed in Miss Yugoslavia and Miss Universe winning both prestigious competitions. Creative and technically accomplished, Dujovic attended a Chemical Technology school and later gained a Bachelor’s degree in Media Management in her native Serbia. However, it was after her move to the US in 2012, when she signed to the famous New York based Willhemina model agency, that her passion for accessories blossomed. In 2016 Dujovic completed an Associate Degree in Accessories Design from the esteemed Miami International University of Art and Design. It was during her Miami studies that Dujovic discovered an innate talent for working with fashion’s most difficult material: leather. Using a metallic silver leather she skilfully reworked the flat material into a three-dimensional heart shape with straps. This moment proved pivotal. With her fervour for bag design ignited, after she graduated, she went on to found her own company with a mission to put stylish, well made fashion accessories in the hands of every day working women.

Affordability has always been central to the Dragana philosophy. Dujovic meticulously researched the leather goods industry and initially started production in Italy but shifted to China after discovering the process was exactly the same. With no reduction in materials or quality Dujovic could pass on the savings to her loyal customers. Using the same premium quality Safiano leather used by the likes of Prada she developed the Ella Clutch over the course of one year.
